Latest Issue Of Vibe Magazine Features Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa and B.o.B.

The latest edition of Vibe Magazine that is on news stands now features the trinity of top music artists Bruno Mars, B.o.B. and Wiz Khalifa on the cover with interviews about how they are individually shaping the new pop music. These cats are definitely hot right now and its interesting to see all of them having success with very different styles. Of all of them though I think that B.o.B has the biggest chance to have staying power, he has a little bit of Andre 3000 mixed in with some Lupe Fiasco and something all his own.

In “When Mars Attacks,” Bruno Mars promises that while he’s had many hits in 2011, he is far from over. With Elvis being one of his idols, “I’m a fan of the young Elvis. And I’m a fan of the story, how he freaked out white America by doing this black rock’n’roll.” With his laid back Hawaiian attitude and his multi-cultural musical influences, this young artist is just getting started.

In “Sound Advice,” Atlanta-born Bobby Ray Simmons, aka B.o.B, explains how artistry defines his money-making hits and not the other way around. “I’m not a corporate rapper,” says B.o.B. “My loyalty is to the music…it doesn’t mean that I don’t sell music – it just means that first I’m an artist, regardless of anything.”

Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa talks about his rise from obscurity to the music charts, his love of weed and yellow and black in “How High.”
