DIRECTV CINEMA Now Offering Six Films From The 2011 Tribeca Film Festival Exclusively

DIRECTV announced today
that their customers will have exclusive access to six titles from the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival. Between April 20th and May 5th, DIRECTV CINEMA will feature four titles, which won’t make it to Netflix and Redbox for months, and two titles before they hit theaters. Here is the list of the titles that will be offered on demand until June 23rd:

The featured titles premiering at the festival include:

  • The Bang Bang Club – Ryan Phillippe, Malin Akerman and Taylor Kitsch star in the true story of four photojournalists who risk their lives to tell the world of the violence associated with the elections in post-apartheid South Africa.
  • Last NightAcademy Award® nominee Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington star as a young married couple confronted by temptation in this sexy, provocative romantic drama. Also starring Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet.
  • NEDS – In 1970’s Glasgow, John is a bright boy. With no one willing to give him a chance, he descends into a life of crime. Actor/director Peter Mullan’s intense portrayal of NEDS is a gritty look at the loss of hope.
  • The Bleeding House – In this horror/thriller, directed Philip Gelatt, a family with a haunted past is visited by a sweet-talking Texan who has come for retribution. Will he succeed in his goal to bleed them out or will the family’s secret prove more deadly?

The featured pre-theatrical titles include:

  • The High Cost of Living – One night, the lives of Henry (Zach Braff) and Nathalie (Isabelle Blais) tragically collide. The impact of their choices forces them both to confront loss, love and life, and decide if the high cost of living is worth the price.
  • Brother’s Justice – Actor/comedian Dax Shepard abandons comedy to pursue his dream of becoming an international martial arts star. With no martial arts training, budget or script, Dax enlists the help of buddies Bradley Cooper and Tom Arnold to live his dream.
